EVERYWHERE — Facebook made a huge announcement Wednesday. The social networking site is bringing Skype video calling to its 750 million users. The added feature will become available over the next couple of weeks.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook is "growing quickly" and by adding Skype, he said, brings in the absolute "best technology" for video chat to Facebook, during a time where people are connecting and sharing information through many ways.
"The amount of information (users) share is about twice the amount of stuff they would have shared a year ago; and it will be twice as much a year from now; it's that kind of exponential growth." And social applications like Skype, help make that possible.
