ANGELINA COUNTY — Angelina County DPS officials tell KETK, one man is dead following a collision with a van on Sunday afternoon.
It happened on Highway 103 just west of Lufkin at 2:01 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011.
Officials say the driver of the van was making a U-turn on Highway 31, when a motorcycle collided with the vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year old Tony Cooper, was killed on the scene. Officials say he was wearing a helmet.
A passenger in the van, 92-year old Annon Melton Card, was taken to a Lufkin hospital, but is reportedly in stable condition.
