School supply lists are getting longer...and many East Texans say some of the items are unnecessary.
We spoke to East Texan Katrina Guerrero today who says she's getting fed up with the lists.
She says she doesn't mind helping the school out with supplies, but "enough is enough."
Last year, she said she spent $250 in supplies for her 3 kids - $900 including uniforms and backpacks.
But we also spoke with Michelle Hukell, who, as a parent and a teacher sees things a little differently.
"I mean some of it seems crazy, but it's stuff that they need and if the teachers had to buy that for each student and provide it - then that's gonna come out of their own money...the school doesn't give them the money for that," Hukell said.
Both of the parents we spoke to today said education cuts lawmakers are placing on Texas schools are not helping - just putting more burden on parents and teachers.
