Two-a-days started for most East Texas high school football teams Monday.
Danny Elzner went to Henderson first thing Monday morning to catch up with the defending state champs.
The Lions won it all last season for the first time.
Henderson will have a dozen starters returning.
The Lions will also be helped by a junior varsity team that went unbeaten last season.
Henderson coach Dickey Meeks said, "It's a little more exciting because of the season we came off of last year."
"The bar is pretty high," Meeks continued. "I'm excited about getting started."
