A commercial vehicle has spilled part of a load on the southbound exit ramp from Loop 224 onto South Street. The unknown substance has caused very slick conditions in this area.
The Nacogdoches Police Department and Texas Department of Transportation has diverted southbound traffic on Loop 224 that wish to exit 59 south onto Old Lufkin Road. This is a narrow road, and traffic is moving slow and is congested.
Motorists that are leaving Nacogdoches enroute to Lufkin or points south of the city of Nacogdoches are urged to utilize State Highway 7 to US 69. Motorists are urged to avoid the area of South Street and Loop 224 until the spill is cleaned up.
