Tyler, TX — Teenagers rule in Smith County.
New demographic details from the 2010 U.S. Census show folks ages 15 to 19 now make up the biggest part of the Smith County population. That's a 20 percent increase over the last decade.
Teenagers now make up 7.6 percent of the population.That's almost 16,000 people. The next largest age group is 20 to 24 year olds.
