tyler — While we continue to spend too much, a new Rasmussen poll come out this week with news that some may or may not find surprising.
A new Rasmussen poll shows Americans overwhelmingly believe that the bigger problem with the welfare system in the United States is that there are too many overqualified recipients rather than not enough. Most also think legal immigrants should have to wait at least three years before being eligible for welfare benefits.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 71% of american adults say the bigger problem with welfare programs in the United States is that too many people get welfare who should not be getting it.
Republicans (91%) and adults not affiliated with either political party (70%) believe much more strongly than Democrats (51%) that the bigger problem with welfare is that too many ineligible people are on it.
These hard time are making many people have to re-think the way they once thought about government hand outs.
There will always be those who need a hand, those with physical problems that cannot be helped. But, if you can help yourself you should only be on the dole for a short time.
LBJ's war on poverty only created a culture of those who making their living from the government.
That's my POV, what's yours?
