LUFKIN — Investigators are asking for help with a robbery that occurred in the 1300 block of North Timberland Drive in Lufkin just after midnight on August 08, 2011.
The twenty-five-year-old male victim reported that an unidentified male suspect punched his face and stole his wallet. The victim said that he left Nacogdoches around midnight, headed home, and stopped at a red light at the intersection of North Timberland Drive and Kurth Drive.
The victim said that a black male and two black females were standing in the media at the intersection. He thought they were going to cross the roadway and walk westbound on Kurth Drive but when he brought his vehicle to a stop, the male suspect reached through the open driver's door window and punched him. The victim was unsure of how everything else occurred but said that the male suspect stole his wallet while the females watched.
The victim described the male suspect as being in his mid-twenties or mid-thirties, thin build, approximately six-foot tall, with a shaved head, skinny face, and very dark skin. He described one female as thin build, approximately five-foot tall, with braided hair wore in a ponytail. He described the other female as medium to heavy build and wearing a red tank top.
According to the victim, the male suspect said nothing during the robbery and the females watched the crime occur but did nothing to stop it.
