TYLER — Solyndra, it's a name you will hear a whole lot of in the coming days.
Now the top two guys are taking the fifth.
In the parlance of Archie Bunker they have decided to dummy up.
But just because the they won't talk to investigators doesn't mean that Congress won't be asking more questions.
When the president took office he and Vice-President Biden were strong on green jobs.
We were told don't worry about gasoline going up. We'll lead the world in green.
Then Oklahoma billionarie T. Boone Pickins dropped out of the green conquest. Said there was no money in it.
In comes Solyndra, a company which made solar panels. The president and VP loved them some solar panels.
But, come to find out the chinese were making solar panels cheaper than Solyndra.
Didn't matter.
Reportedly, the administration was warned repeatedly by people on his own staff, the Congressional Budget Office and others this proposed more than $500 million loan to Solyndra didn't make sense.
Some government accountants said they way things are going Solyndra will go belly up by Sept of 2011.
Come to find out. Those doom-sayers were prophetic. This month they did go belly-up.
Enter the FBI and others to look at records. Now, there is alleged stonewalling going on.
This doesn't look good. Doesn't smell good.
And where is our guaranteed $500 million dollars?
It's where the green jobs are, no where.
And now the president and others need to answer for it.
That's my point of view, whats yours?
