Longview, TX — The City of Longview Partners in Prevention’s Race Relations Committee will host the 5th annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Maude Cobb Convention Center, 100 Grand Blvd.
The event promises to be rich with cultural entertainment, exhibits, merchant booths and an array of multicultural cuisine for purchase. Family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities will be provided. Admission to the festival is free.
The Multicultural Festival is one of several annual events hosted by the Race Relations Committee in effort to raise awareness and celebrate the diversity of the Longview community. Performances during the festival include: music by The Hall Brothers; prose poetry and music by Angela Lambert; singing and dancing by the Artstview Bravo Players; dancing by the Down Home Cloggers; and much more. The program will open at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome, the pledge of allegiance, the national anthem, and a variety of talent to follow.
