tyler — The last NPR president and CEO of NPR was fired after she fired Juan Williams.
She was also caught on tape calling the Tea Party a bunch of racists.
Now they have a new boss. His name is Gary E. Knell. And one of the first things he said he want to do is de-politicize NPR.
The 57-year old new boss told the Associated Press on Sunday that he wanted to "depoliticize" NPR by highlighting its commitment to hard-hitting local, national and international journalism across multiple platforms
He said he does not believe that NPR is biased and wants to try to change the minds of those who perceive it as such.
Wait- he said he wanted to de-politicize NPR but now he basically says its not political or biased.
Ok, here we go with the press release lingo.
He says "I think NPR needs to do a better job of telling a story, it's about journalism, it's about news. It's not about promoting one political agenda or another."
Yeah, that's what it's supposed to be about that unfortunately dies a few years ago.
This will be more of the same ol' pap.
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against NPR. They deserve to exist as long as they do it on their dime and not mine.
Because I can tell you nothing will change. It will be the same old thing. Our taxpayer money to be used to tell us how wrong we all are and we don't agree with them.
Why change now? It's been that way for years?
That's my point of view, what's yours?
