TYLER - According to Pollen.com, we're going to have very high pollen counts for the next few days, meaning people who suffer from allergies will need to prepare for even more sniffles.
The main aggravator this time of year in East Texas is pollen.
The pollen count is high this time of year because flowers and trees are starting to bloom.
Today, allergens are mainly coming from oak, juniper, and grasses according to Pollen.com.
If there's been a lot of rainy weather, molds can also aggravate allergies.
If you're unsure whether your ailments are caused by a cold or allergies, one local doctor says the answer is length of time you've been suffering. He says if you're sick, you should start recovering in a few days. If it's allergies, it'll stick around for much longer.
