Lufkin, TX — Thirty-six arrests and six prison trips later, Lufkin’s poster boy for methamphetamine abuse, James “Bull” Durham, has labeled himself “Lufkin’s Most Hated, Lufkin’s Most Wanted.” The 39-year-old believes in the title so much, he had it added to the canvas of tattoos that cover his body while he served one of his prison sentences.
With a 25-year prison sentence hanging over his head for burning down his mother’s Lufkin home with a meth lab last year, Durham sat down inside the Angelina County Jail this past week for an interview with The Lufkin News in which he tried to explain where it all went wrong. Even though he pleaded guilty to the arson charge, he said he’s not guilty.
