Longview, Texas — A preliminary autopsy report released Friday showed no signs of notable trauma or foul play in the death of a 10-year-old J.L. Everhart student who died a week ago.
The cause of death and the manner of death remains undetermined, pending histology and toxicology tests, according to the report.
Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson has said fourth grader Jamaal Jones' death appeared to be "accidental." Jamaal died Oct. 5 after sustaining injuries in a fall at his grandmother's house on Harvard Avenue.
