Gilmer has lost its starting quarterback.
Luke Turner suffered a broken ankle in Gilmer's game against Carthage last Friday.
Turner will miss the rest of the regular season and he might miss the playoffs.
Gilmer coach Jeff Traylor tells KETK's Danny Elzner that Turner will be out from four to eight weeks.
The senior will play college ball at Rice.
Turner has been the leader of the Buckeyes for the past two seasons.
This year he's run and passed for 2,010 yards in just seven games.
Turner has led the Buckeyes to an unbeaten season.
Gilmer is ranked fifth statewide.
Turner will be replaced at quarterback by Jordan Traylor who led Gilmer on the game-winning drive in the fourth quarter against Carthage last Friday night.
