Brady Attaway threw seven touchdowns in Appalachian State's 57-21 win over Nicholls State on Saturday night.
Attaway, the QB from Whitehouse who finished with 364 yards on 30-of-49 passing, fell one touchdown short of tying the Stephen F. Austin (2-5, 1-2 Southland Conference) and Southland Conference record for most touchdowns in a game.
Five different receivers - Tyler Boyd, Brandon Scott, Gralyn Crawford, Ryan Gambel, and Cordell Roberson - all caught touchdowns, as Attaway connected with nine different receivers in
Roberson led all Stephen F. Austin receivers, recording eight catches for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Crawford grabbed seven passes for 87 yards.
Stephen F. Austin's defense played well, only allowing Nicholls
State to gain 132 total yards and eight first downs.
The Lumberjacks also tallied four sacks, two interceptions and eight tackles for loss.
Nicholls State (1-7, 0-4) has now lost six consecutive games.
