TYLER, TX (KETK) - — The Tyler Youth Orchestra had their first performance of the season this afternoon, with three different age groups playing for the crowd.
Sunday afternoon's theme was stringed instruments.
Arps, violins, and cellos vibrated their sounds in harmony across the newly renovated Liberty Hall Theater in Tyler.
The concert showcased different skill levels.
the Prepatory Orchestra, the Academic Orchestra, and finally the Youth Orchestra.
They also had a professional saxophone soloist from Dallas.
And with the current bad economy, many kids and parents are having a hard time paying for this skilled entertainment.
But those in the business say that if it is important enough to someone, they will find a way to afford it.
