The retail price of gasoline has dropped a nickel this week across Texas. AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump was $3.29 a gallon.
The nationwide average price for gasoline also declined, dropping 3 cents this week to settle at $3.44 per gallon.
AAA Texas says Amarillo has the most expensive gasoline in the state, averaging $3.36 a gallon. The least expensive gasoline was in Corpus Christi, at a cost of $3.14 per gallon.
Market analysts say a strong U.S. dollar and European economic concerns put downward pressure on crude oil prices this week.
