Lufkin, TX — Angelina County commissioners on Thursday approved final adjustments to the county’s voting precincts, concluding the county redistricting process.
County officials said around six voting precincts were eliminated on the adjusted map, and others were adjusted to match new constable and justice of the peace precincts.
Commissioners last month adopted boundaries for justice of the peace and constable precincts, reducing the number of precincts from five to four by consolidating Precinct 4, which includes Zavalla and the southern portion of the county, with Precinct 3, which includes Huntington.
