Kilgore, TX — Scott Sellers became the face of Kilgore before he even got started as its new city manager Monday.
He had a job in Kilgore, but not a home. In a city of almost 13,000 that swells to around 20,000 on work days, he wasn’t alone.
Sellers also didn’t have the option of living in Longview and commuting, as many do.
“Being a city manager, it was very important to me to be a member of the city and live in the city,” he said, proving he passed City Manager 101.
After two searches for a home with his wife, Amy, the couple returned to Colorado not knowing where they’d be living in the City of Stars.
