Longview, TX — Longview will have a grand-opening ceremony for the Stragent Dog Park on Friday.
The new park includes separate, off-leash, fenced areas for small and large dogs to exercise and socialize. The fenced area for large dogs is about 7 acres, and the small dog area is about 2 acres.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. It will take place at the large-dog area of the park, near the 121 Summers Drive parking lot for Paul Boorman Trail. The park is also accessible from the parking lot at 2422 H.G. Mosley Parkway.
Dogs are the only animals permitted within the dog park, and must wear a tag showing current rabies vaccinations. Other rules may be viewed on the Longview Parks and Recreation website.
