TYLER — The Barna Group is a well known organization among Christians.
They study spiritual development - and they're saying, women just aren't coming to services like they used to.
The study says church attendance among women dropped by 11 percentage points to 44% of the U.S. population since 1991 - meaning the majority of women don't go to church services during a typical week.
Today we spoke with associate pastor of Green Acres Baptist, Ken Warren.
He says the study was a bit of an over-generalization...but Barna's findings could be attributed to our changing society.
"They have a lot of other things pulling on their time and interests and so church probably doesn't provide the central attraction that it once did. Cause it's just liike -- its like that with everybody right now, there's so many other things calling for our attention," Warren said.
