LONGVIEW — UPDATE: Cheddar's has reopened after passing an afternoon inspection.
A popular North Longview eatery closed Monday after city health inspectors found eight critical violations and gave the restaurant a score of D.
Longview environmental health personnel inspected Cheddar's Casual Cafe - at the intersection of U.S. 259 North and Hawkins Parkway - Monday afternoon and found several violations. It is unknown as of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday if the restaurant has reopened.
Environmental Health Manager Geoff Heinicke said, had the restaurant not voluntarily shut down, the city would have ordered a shutdown.
