Nacogdoches, TX — The city of San Augustine is in Stage 4 of its drought contingency plan, but four newly drilled wells, three of which are now pumping precious water into the city's water source lake, seem to be providing a temporary solution to a serious problem.
"We have drilled four additional wells that will be pumping into the lake," San Augustine City Manager Kerry Lacy said. "We get all of our water from surface water. We have three wells that are pumping water now, two that the piping will be completed at the end of this week."
