TYLER, TX (KETK) - — The number of Texans on food stamps is now fifteen percent.
In Smith County, it has risen 21 percent over the past two years.
Now over half of those on food stamps are kids, and these go to help them with school lunches.
Of course corporate cutbacks are forcing layoffs, but some who are still working are turning to food stamps.the number of texans on food stamps is now fifteen percent.
