Rex Grossman says he's an "optimist" when it comes to turning the Washington Redskins season around now that he's re-established as the starting quarterback.
Grossman says he spent his three weeks on the bench "watching and thinking" about what he would do when he got the job again.
He failed to lead a touchdown drive in his first game back, a 20-9 loss to Miami, but he says a win over Dallas on Sunday would do wonders to improve the mood of the team.
The Redskins are 3-6 and have lost five straight.
John Beck went 0-3 as the starter while Grossman was benched.
Beck is disappointed but says it's not his "first rodeo" - and that he definitely can improve.
