DALLAS (AP) - — A gunman is dead after wounding an off-duty police officer and a bystander after an exchange of gunfire aboard an Amtrak train at Union Station in downtown Dallas.
Details are sketchy, but a Dallas Area Rapid Transit spokesman Mark Bell tells KTVT-TV (http://cbsloc.al/sIpNxG ) of Dallas andFort Worth that the three were wounded in an exchange of gunfire
Jonathan Beaubien was taking the train home to Mineola.
Reports say he was about five rows behind the shooting.
An Amtrak spokesman in Chicago would say only that the Texas Eagle from Dallas to Chicago was delayed in Dallas because of local police activity.
DART train service to the station has been suspended.
