LONGVIEW — When you think "Christmas shopping," stores like Target, Best Buy, and the mall often come to mind.
But around here, the "Texas Best Smokehouse" truck stop is full of surprises you might not think you'd find -- and you can grab them while paying for your gas.
"We have gifts for everybody, we have crosses, we have a lot of purses, jewelry, gourmet gardens which is our homemade salsas, barbecue sauces," said General Manager Anndrea Smith.
East Texan Toyia Urbaniak is on her way to the aiport and decided to make a quick stop for some Christmas gifts.
"I am a shopper! And I just bought a watch for my step mother and I bought a United States Marine Core ornament for my step son whose in the Marine Core -- I'm taking it to Seattle for his Christmas tree," Urbaniak said.
Boots, photography, nick-nacks, food, even wine from local wineries -- Urbaniak says sometimes places like this just have stuff you can't find anywhere else.
"It's different, you don't want to get someone the same old generic stuff," Urbaniak said.
