Lufkin, TX — With 30 years of law enforcement experience under his belt, Texas Department of Public Safety official Greg Sanches said he plans to make a run at the Angelina County sheriff seat.
“The last two years I was getting close to retirement, and that thought came to me — a lot of that because of the public and majority of law enforcement coming up to me saying, ‘Hey, you oughta think about running for sheriff,’” Sanches said Friday, his last day in the DPS office.
