Juniors in the International Baccalaureate (or IB) program at Longview High School got a chance Tuesday to see what life is like for local families living in poverty with a simulation program run by the Greater Longview United Way.
“This is the first time we’ve done something like this for students,” said Holly Fuller with Partners in Prevention, one of the United Way agencies involved in the program. “Previous poverty simulations were done with adult participants.”
