Student and teacher attacked at Longview High School

LONGVIEW — Longview Police tell KETK, an 18 year old woman was arrested on January 5th, after she ran into Longview High School and assaulted a student and a teacher.

The woman, Takeyah Terrell Carter, entered the classroom and began attacking a student.

The teacher attempted to keep Carter from leaving before police arrived, and was injured in the process.

Once police arrived, Carter attempted to run, but was captured and arrested.

She remain in the Gregg County jail on Friday, on a $53,500 bond.

Police tell KETK, Carter is a student at another school, but that school is unknown at this time.
