EAST TEXAS — KETK has received an update from Oncor.
Officials tell us, as of 8:45 a.m. there are 864 customers without power in the East Texas area, mostly in Smith and Cherokee County.
The largest number of outages are in Lindale and Jacksonville.
Oncor Power is reporting several outages, many in Smith and Cherokee County.
Oncor representative, Charles Hill, tells KETK that because of the high winds, they are expecting outages throughout the day.
The windy weather has been forcing down power lines and tree limbs most of Thursday morning.
Hill says the Tyler Pounds airport area was without power around 3:30 a.m., along with several dispersed outages in other East Texas areas.
Workers will be out all day as they repair the downed lines.
