Store clerk and delivery man killed in holdup
Fort Worth — The Associated Press is reporting; a North Texas jury now turns to how to punish a man they've convicted of capital murder in a 2010 convenience store holdup that left two men dead.
A Tarrant County jury must decide between a death penalty and life imprisonment without parole for 36-year-old Kwame Rockwell.
Testimony in the penalty phase begins Wednesday in Fort Worth. The jury deliberated almost three hours Tuesday before convicting Rockwell of the death of store clerk Daniel Rojas.
Also killed in the holdup of the store in southeastern Fort Worth was 70-year-old Mrs Baird's Bread deliveryman Jerry Burnett.
