Longview, TX — Author and teaching pastor Bruxy Cavey will be a featured speaker at 10:50 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, in LeTourneau University’s S.E. Belcher, Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. Admission is open and free to the public.
Cavey is the teaching pastor of The Meeting House, “church for people who aren’t into church.” The multi-site community in the greater Toronto area shares the same teaching and vision: to create safe places for spiritual seekers to ask questions and develop thoughtful faith.
Cavey’s accessible style, historical rigor, and refreshing candor make him a popular guest on television and radio programs and at universities across Canada. He recently authored a book, “The End of Religion: Encountering the Subversive Spirituality of Jesus,” in which he introduces the irreligious message of Jesus in a way that provokes thought and promotes action.
