TYLER — The Cowboys may not be playing, but the biggest day in the NFL is upon us once again.
Super Bowl XLVI is Sunday night right here on KETK.
We all know, the day is often times just as much about the food as it is the game.
Super Bowl Sunday is the second highest day of food consumption after Thanksgiving.
The average person will eat about 1,200 calories on snacks alone.
Americans will have roughly 100 million pounds of chicken wings, about 8 million pounds of tortilla chips, and 30 million slices of pizza.
Sound like a stomach ache?
Antacid sales are expected to go up 20 percent the day after the Super Bowl.
The folks at Good's Medicine Chest aren't sure about the numbers, but they say it makes sense.
"It's almost like a holiday," said Manager David Davis. "They come in, 'oh my stomach,' and we do see a lot of folks on the antacid aisle."
You can try to cut back on the calories by making your food at home.
"With pizza you could do a whole wheat pizza, homemade spaghetti sauce," said Pure Body Nutrition Co-Owner Alicia Burgin.
But if going the healthy route just isnt your thing, Davis said you can use an acid reducer before hand to help alleviate the problem.
What will you be eating on Super Bowl Sunday?
