TYLER, TX (KETK) - — Fred Scholz was found by a river authority co-worker that was making his usual rounds.
He was found in Cherokee County.
Rescuers, who had spent days diving and riding in Lake Palestine did not have to get in the water this morning.
Scholz lived in East Texas seasonally, and during his time here he and his wife attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Tyler.
This morning, senior pastor Mark Braaten met with the family at their house in Frankston.
He spoke with KETK about how the family was handling the news.
