tyler — When the Notre Dame University gave President Barack Obama an honorary law degree back in 2009, many catholics howled.
But, back then, the more moderate Catholics and others said, let us agree to disagree.
But, how strange is it that by giving the president a pass on the honorary degree, they
were the first one torpedoed when it came time to nail down the first plank of Obamacare.
Not every Catholic, but many went liberal years ago. How ironic their ox is the first one gored in the cultural fight.
Friday it seems that the president was walking back his plan. They said the insurance company's would pay for it.
I can tell you insurance companies never pay for anything, we do.
CNS news reports, Twenty-five Notre Dame faculty members--led by the university's top ethics expert, and including some of the school's most eminent scholars--have signed a statement declaring that President Barack Obama's latest version of his administration's mandate that all health insurance plans in the United States must cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that cause abortions, is "a grave violation of religious freedom and cannot stand."
But if you watched the talking head shows over the weekend, the administrations stand was basically--- watch us.
Years ago, the Catholic church hierarchy made a deal to slide to the left, and now it must be stunned that they are the poster child for Obamacare at any cost.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
