tyler — This weekend I drove from East Texas to the Texas Gulf Coast.
There was one thing that was constant through every town and city I drove through, high gasoline prices.
Before you jump on the oil is evil bandwagon, the oil industry has been been investigated so many times by pettifogging politicians trying to give the constituents back home some red meat.
The results of those hearings never produced any truth that big oil was up to no good.
It's a news story we are doing today. Gasoline prices have never been this high this early in the season.
But, has anyone heard the main stream media asking the president what's the deal here?
Remember when Bush was president? They said he was in with big oil when prices were high.
Again, after investigations, not true.
Gas was under $2/ gallon when President Obama was sworn in.
So now, where is the outrage?
There is none.
At least none from those on the side who are usually mad at Republicans presidents when gas prices go up.
President Obama wont okay the pipeline. We cant drill in the gulf.
Prices are high and none of the high priest of journalism seem to care about this.
I saw last week online, the woman who played Elaine in Seinfeld urging the president to keep cutting oil off from America.
She says this is our chance to cut ties with evil oil. The only problem is there is nothing to fall back on.
Green energy is not ready. We're stuck with oil for at least the rest of my lifetime.
But, it's odd prices are high hurting the little guy.
And those who claim they speak and protect the little guy are silent.
I wonder why?
That's my point of view, what's yours?
