WASHINGTON — Texas is big, proud and ... not really liked much by people in other states.
According to a recent Public Policy Polling survey, Texas ranked as the 37th most popular state among the 50 United States.
Overall, 40 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the Lone Star State. That placed Texas behind favorite state Hawaii. And North Dakota. And Rhode Island.
You get the idea.
However Texas is viewed, residents can take comfort in knowing Americans aren't indifferent to its Lone Star. More than half of respondents answered "not sure" when asked about their opinions of most states.
