Authorities are searching for two women in connection with a Tuesday morning bank robbery that shut down a Henderson bank for several hours while officers investigated.
Citizen’s National Bank in Henderson was robbed about 10 a.m., said Henderson police Detective Craig Sweeney, who said he did not know how much money was taken.
“The white female approached the bank teller, displayed a gun and demanded money,” Sweeney said. “No one was hurt, and it went nice and easy. She didn’t raise her voice or anything.”
The woman, who had not been identified by late Tuesday afternoon, entered the store wearing sunglasses and a hospital mask, which covered most of her face, Sweeney said.
Authorities also believe the suspect left in a vehicle that was parked at the Valero gas station next door to the bank. Sweeney said a female driver of that vehicle went into the gas station, and surveillance photos were taken of her. Officers have not identified the driver of the vehicle.
