Gregg County trooper involved in wreck

KILGORE — DPS officials tell KETK that a Gregg County trooper was involved in wreck on Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 42 and Maverick St. in Kilgore.

Authorities say Trooper Player was driving a DPS unit southbound on Hwy 42 and went to pass another vechicle driven by Kendra Thomason.

When Trooper Player attempted to pass, Thomason turned, and the two vehicles hit.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.
