Don't get in the way

tyler — I've already mentioned one time this week that we need to keep our eye on the political ball.

That --- while all of the other talking heads are consumed with a talk show host and a student who needs thousands of dollars worth of birth control pills.

The story is the social conflict we are in right now has to do with an administration trying to rule by fiat.

Congress, get out of the way. This is what's best for you.

The Catholic church has gotten in the way, not backing down to the mandates of Obamacare, so they are a target.

There was a back and forth between the Obama administration and Cardinal Dolan. He claims the administration is trying to strong arm the church and run church policy through the administration.

In other words, ask us permission cardinal before you proceed. We are more in touch with the American people and Catholics like yourself.

Through a letter to other Catholic leaders, the cardinal let's us in on a weird meeting he had with the administration.

The cardinal says the administration told him and wrote him this--- "they advised the bishops' conference that we should listen to the "enlightened" voices of accommodation, such as the recent, hardly surprising yet terribly unfortunate editorial in America. The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching and so, taking a cue from its own definition of religious freedom, now has nominated its own handpicked official Catholic teachers."

This administration somehow has claimed moral high ground for where they want to take this country.

And if you get in the way, you are a target.

The cardinal warns his fellow Catholics of tough times ahead.

If this presidential arrogance continues, we are all in for tough times.
