Foundation spending over $50,000 for teachers and students
Kilgore — The Longview News Journal is reporting: Students at Chandler Elementary School soon will be taking learning into their own hands.
The Kilgore ISD Education Foundation has unanimously approved spending $50,100 toward the purchase of iPads for teachers and students at the elementary school.
Board members approved the purchase of the equipment with the understanding that it will supplement the academic goals and objectives of the district, said to Board President Bobby Beane.
“This is the next step,” Beane said. “We want our students to have access to the digital tools to help them excel.”
