03/19/12 — All was right proper Sunday as supporters of the Gregg County Historical Museum shared high tea with Her Majesty.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever done this,” volunteer Mary Murdoch said, momentarily breaking character as Queen Elizabeth II.
Dressed in an ankle-length, pink gown accentuated by a matching, flowered hat and white gloves, the queen greeted about 75 guests as they arrived for the first-of-its-kind fundraiser in the museum’s Education Center adjoining its Fredonia Street home.
