Austin — The Austin American Statesman is reporting: A national tea party group that has targeted Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst for defeat could soon set its sights on another Republican leader of the Texas Legislature: House Speaker Joe Straus.
"The citizens of Texas want to see real reform. They look at other states that are doing more, and they ask: ‘Why not here?' " said Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, a Washington-based advocacy group that helped launch the tea party movement in 2009.
