tyler — When I first saw this on the web, I thought there had been some mistake.
But, unfortunately, that is not the case.
A network news program did a story on all the huge infrastructures going on right now in America.
Did you know that many are going to Chinese companies?
I thought our stimulus money was to support the American economy.
But it's right there for all to see. I just wish my network would have done it.
Come to find out right now there are several huge ---and I mean HUGE --- bridge projects taking place across America.
Places like Alaska and California.
It all went to the Chinese.
There is actually a law that states if something is up for bid, unless the price range is too far apart,
it would go to an American company.
But that wasn't the case.
The unions are fighting back in Alaska with advertising and they should
American union and non-union people should be getting the contracts.
During the story, the reporter interviewed the guy high up in California highway department.
They have a bridge project going on worth billions.
But who got the work? The Chinese.
The American union folks said they would have made concessions to get the work. But no.
Rick Perry's Trans-Texas Corridor was a bad idea.
Fist of all, Spaniards got the contract. Second of all, when you see what it would have done to the East Texas landscape, you really would not have liked it.
I have never considered myself a nationalist.
But, the more and more I see our country fall in a hole and more and more
outsourcing and stuff like this that goes on, maybe I should be.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
