We need practicality

tyler — Today starts the first argument at the U.S. Supreme Court about the health care law or what has become
known as Obamacare.

Before anything is ever argued about the costs or anything else, the main question is, is the health care law constitutional?

I don't care what your politics may be or if you think government controlled health care is the answer to the nation's problems. At hand is the commerce law.

It frightens me to death that the U.S. government could commanding me what to buy. This seems to go against everything the country is about.

I never thought I'd live in a country in which the feds said "buy this or else."

The government bailed out General Motors. GM needed help.

If this health care deal gets slammed through the Supreme Court, then can the government tell us it's in the common good that we all have to buy a Chevy Volt or andother GM car they government thinks we should have.

Will they command us to buy expensive solar panels?

What abot $50 light bulbs, wait, they're already making us do that.

If you scoffm let me ask you when the the federal government ever turned down an opportunity to get more involved in your life.

The numbers are starting to flow in. The Congressional Budget Office is saying this health care deal is going to cost way more than projected.

It's a hot mess that needs to be shot down.

Through this entire mess, I hope that both sides of the isle see health care needs to be fixed and not through some gimmicky accounting tricks to make the price look low.

No matter who wins this next presidential election, this needs to be the first priority.

We need a health care overhaul that is practical, not political.
