The Nacogdoches Police department has been made aware of email scams that are using the names of American Express and The United States Postal Service (USPS).
Emails received using these origins direct the user to a server that downloads viruses on computers that could possibly capture sensitive information such as passwords.
If you receive a suspicious email, DO NOT OPEN IT! Simply delete it immediately.
There is no need to call the police. Check your bank and credit card statements carefully. It is also a good idea to change your passwords on banking and sensitive accounts periodically.
