Rep. Paul Ryan endorses Romney

U.S. — Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) says Mitt Romney would make the best president and has the best chance of defeating President Obama.

Ryan made the announcement Friday morning, four days before the Wisconsin primary, on Fox & Friends.

"Here's the reason why I endorsed him," Ryan said. "It's clear to me he (Romney) understands the fork in the road America is facing. It's clear to me he understands exactly what we need to do to stop America from having a debt crisis. I also think he has the best chance of winning and defeating President Obama in the fall."
