TYLER, TX (KETK) - — Last year the drought kept many of the East Texas pests at bay, but with a more moist spring, this year you should see a much higher number.
And amongst those creatures are fleas and ticks, which will impact your pets at home.
KETK spoke with with local vets and and pet stores to find out the best wayas to protect your dog, cat, and self from facing a flea epidemic.
There are all kinds of sprays, and powders, but all the we spoke with say that prevention is the best way to not have to deal with fleas.
Fleas can also make your pet have an allergic reaction.
